Nothing kills a hangover quite like pho. Trust me, you’ll need to this remedy after a #turntup night in Vegas. I don’t know what it is, but this delicious Vietnamese broth makes everything better. Las Vegas has no shortage of Vietnamese restaurants, but most of the good ones are off the strip. I get it, this may seem like a journey while you’re suffering from previous night’s decisions, but trust me, it’s definitely worth it. Hop in a cab and take a short trip to Chinatown and you’ll find some of the city’s most legit pho. If it wasn’t for Pho Kinh Do, my last day in Las Vegas would have been torture.
Located on Spring Mountain Road about five minutes from the Venetian is where all my problems disappeared as I dove into a giant bowl of pho. The menu offers all the Vietnamese essentials including spring rolls, egg rolls, pho, banh mi, satay noodles, beef stew and then some. The egg rolls are mad delicious and crunchy served with a garden of crispy lettuce and basil along with nuoc cham dipping sauce. The pho is on point and hits the spot – super flavorful with thinly sliced beef, onions, cilantro and green onions. The beef satay was a little too intense and was too thick and heavy for me personally. I had to add a lot of limes to break that ish down.
Chả giò or egg rolls ($5.95 USD).
Phở Đặc Biệt with rare sliced beef, well done flank, tendon, tripe, beef balls and brisket ($7.49 USD).
Hủ tiếu satế or Satay Noodle ($7.95 USD).
